DC Building Group completed the 6.15-acre retail center site development at the corner of Silverado and Bermuda as well as the ground-up Goodwill Store and Donation Center. The project had an expedited schedule and opened August 1, 2016. The site development includes full onsite and offsite improvements with over 1,000 lineal feet of underground utilities (water, power, waste) being brought to all five build-to-suit pads in the plaza. The new 17,035 square-foot Goodwill included masonry walls, steel roof with high parapet and tower, drive-through donation canopy and delivery docks for semi-trucks. Hirschi Masonry utilized an adjustable scaffolding system accelerating the time table of masonry over traditional scaffolding. The single story Goodwill project reached its block wall height of 26 feet, excluding the towers, in record time. The project was designed by architect Jeff Looker. Goodwill’s Mission is focused on providing job training and job placement services to local Nevadans. “At Goodwill, we believe that work creates the economic energy that builds strong families and strong communities,” said Goodwill CEO and President, Steve Chartrand. “DC Building Group aligns completely with this philosophy in its Mission to provide opportunities and enhance the lives of their team and the communities where they do business.” Read more about this Goodwill Store on Silverado.
